Quick update on everything!

Hey Everybody it's been a few weeks but just wanted to give a quick update on all that has been happening and a financial need of ours. So let's hop right to it! Well these past few weeks have been full of prenatal check ups and building anticipation for our upcoming baby girl! As we have been preparing for the baby we have also been full time serving the campus and the working with the Leadership Training course. As apart of us serving the campus we are running the Discipleship Training School registrar and we have a current 85 students accepted for our school and close to 500 total accepted for the rest of the schools. This is very exciting because that means close to 500 people in December will be launched out into countries all around the world to provide mercy ministries and spread the gospel everywhere they go. This is an exciting thing!! 500 more short term missionaries just from our campus be sent out to bring Jesus to the nations of this world! If you would like to know more about what we do with DTS and how stuff works feel free to email us at petemitchell343@gmail.com.

I want to also take a minute and share with you a need of ours and ask you if you would be willing to partner with us here in Kona. So right now we are in need of $750 extra in the next few weeks to finish up the payments for rest of the medical costs of the baby and also to finish off payment for our jeep. Peter has taken on a part time job working for a moped rental company to bring in some extra money for our family and we are also making journals and other things to sell to help cover these costs as well. But on top of all that we are asking if you would partner with us once again in just taking care of these costs. If you are looking for where to give you can go to paypal.com and click the transfer tab and send money to the kenzieodell@gmail.com email. You can also go to the partner portion of our blog and send money in that way as well for a tax deductible receipt. The paypal is instant to us and the blog link takes a few weeks to process. Both are great and very much appreciated. We love you all and thanks again.

Testimony Time

I am actually having some what of difficult time figuring out what to write about not because there isn't anything going on but because there is so much happening its difficult to convey the best things without writing something that is to long. So lets just jump straight in, so in the last month a lot has been going on out here in Kona and I want to share a bit of just the craziness of the ministry that we are working with and what the Lord is doing out here on the Big Island. So just a quick bit again my wife and I are working with this ministry called the Leadership Track which is a program that trains and equips missionaries for long-term and life long mission work around the world or even in the USA.

Something else that has been happening among the people we are training is the Lord is growing the lifestyle of unwavering faith in them all. Learning how to not rely on the if "I fee like it" attitude but believing that the Lord has called them into full time ministry and walking out in the gifting's that He has placed in them. It's so incredible to be apart of a group of people like this that in all circumstances and situations they look at what's ahead with faith in their hearts believing that God really wants to change the world.

So moving from a place of faith a part of our training program is that we teach people the power of the simple Gospel that Jesus came He died and rose again so that the world might be reconciled back to God and find true fulfillment in Him. The best part is this simple thing carries the weight of salvation with it and we are seeing the fruit of people being saved regularly. In the past few weeks as a combined group we have seen 5 people come to know the Lord for the first time and this is a thing to be celebrated! 5 new brothers and sisters in the Kingdom of heaven!

I just wanted to share a few things that Lord is doing out here through our staff and through us and what you all are investing prayer and finances in. WE love you all so dearly and are so grateful for all your prayers and support. I am going to post a video in a few days about some more personal testimonies soon.

Blessings,
The Mitchells

What's been going on.

So I know we haven't posted anything for a while about what has been going on with us lately but here is some things about just exactly that.

So these few months have been wonderful being back on the Kona campus and being involved with everything that has been going on here. So since we have been back we have had the amazing blessing to fulfill our 1 year commitment to the leadership track. Now what the leadership track is designed to do is to train and equip with skills tomorrows leaders. The it does this is by putting emphasis a the essentials to the Christian faith. Every week each person will spend 8 hours through out the week praying, 5 hours in worship, 9 hours in serving, and 3 hours a week learning how to either preach/teach or how to worship lead. Their is also scripture memorization and a few book reports every quarter. Along with all of this there is time every week set aside for community outreach and that's mainly what I want to continue to talk about in the rest of this because I love community outreach.

So this last quarter we had the amazing opportunity to partner with a ministry based of our New York City called American Bible Society. The vision years ago for this organization was to get a Bible in every home in America that wanted one. So to help complete this vision ABS donated 8000 Bibles to Kona town!! This is amazing! So what we were able to do is every week partner with a different church and systemically divide up all the developments and communities in Kona and go door to door asking every home in Kona if they would like to have a Bible. Now this was extremely exciting for both Kenzie and I because we love the Bible and we love Kona so naturally we were so excited to be doing this. So for about 8 weeks we were able to take Bibles to different homes in Kona and every person that was home to receive these Bibles Kenzie and I were able to pray with them share the gospel with them get them plugged into a local church in their area. I don't know the total number of Bibles we were able to hand out but it was a lot and we were so blessed to be apart of this.

It's so amazing because people want to know about Jesus, they are looking for a way out of their pain and suffering. We don't live in a post Christian time, if anything we live in the most ripe time the earth has ever seen towards Jesus. Well that's just a little update on whats been going on from us to you. I will write more in a few days on another community outreach we had.

Blessings,
Peter and Makenzie.

Make Us Mobile.

Oh friends! Thank you so much for each of you that have donated already. We only have $1700 left to raise til this car is ours. The owners have been so gracious to despite our lack of up front money to still want us to have this car! We feel really blessed by their help and know it's just what we needed. We have until the end of the month of June to raise the remainder of the funds (which is perfect timing since we move a few miles away from campus then too and mopeds aren't exaclty considered safe for pregnant women!). Please stand with us in prayer for the remainder/ if you are able, donate! Click here for an online payment or send check/ cash to us:
